Safe-Lock microcentrifuge tubes feature a patented hinged lid that eliminates any danger of leaks and ensures safety when working with toxic samples, radioactive substances or DNA. A small hook on the hinged lid clips around the rim of the test tubes to prevent accidental opening yet users can still easily open tube with one hand. Safe-Lock microcentrifuge tubes are rated to 30,000 x g (25,000 x g for 2.0 ml tubes) for excellent mechanical stability during centrifugation. Tubes can be autoclaved at 121°C for 20 minutes when open. These 2.0 mL test tubes have volume graduations and etched marking surfaces.
